Join us as we discuss the interplay between technology, social media and adolescent development. We will be paying particular attention to how teens are using social media to explore and express their sexual and relational development and how to engage with this material in the consulting room.

Leora Trub, Ph.D., is Associate Professor at Pace University’s doctoral program in School/Clinical-Child Psychology, and has a private practice in New York City, where she treats adolescents, adults and couples. Her primary research interest is the study of identity development, relationship formation and psychological well-being in the age of technology and the implications of digital technology on clinical practice. She is the author of numerous papers and chapters on clinical practice in the digital age, and the relationship between technology and psychological constructs including attachment, emotional regulation, intimacy, self-presentation and mindfulness. Her research has been published in a range of research, clinical, and psychoanalytic journals. It has also been reported on in various news outlets including the New York Times.
Sean Grover, LCSW, is a psychotherapist and author who leads one of the largest group therapy practices in the United States. Sean’s parenting book, When Kids Call The Shots, has been published in Chinese, Korean, Russian, and Estonian, and he’s been quoted and interviewed by hundreds of national media outlets including the Wall Street Journal and New York Times, in addition to guest appearances over 200 international radio shows and podcasts. Sean was a featured guest on the Today Show, and his Psychology Today blog has gathered over 10 million reads.
